Why Credit Library exists
Credit shapes a lot of life in Canada: the apartment you can rent, the rate on your car loan, whether you qualify for a mortgage. Yet most of the information out there is either written for Americans, buried in fine print or designed to sell you a card.
Credit Library is an independent, educational resource. We aren’t a bank, lender, credit bureau or credit counsellor. We explain how credit actually works in Canada, using real numbers and Canadian rules, so you can make your own decisions with confidence.

How we keep it honest
Every article is researched against primary sources such as the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, the credit bureaus and federal regulations.
